As for February 1, 2019 more than 140,000 Crimeans received Ukrainian international biometric passports. This was reported by the Kyiv Mayor adviser and Verkhovna Rada MP Dmytro Bilotserkovets on his Facebook page.
“Crimeans continue to actively receive Ukrainian international biometric passports. According to the information of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, as for February 1, 2019 more than 140,295 international passports were issued,” Bilotserkovets wrote.
As it was reported earlier, June 11, 2017 marks one year since the EU-Ukraine visa-free regime was introduced. This canceled the necessity of visas during the border crossing procedure - for Ukrainians who own the biometric passports. Ukrainians ca visit 30 European countries: all EU countries except United Kingdom, and Ireland, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Iceland, and Norway. The respective measure is foreseen by the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
To travel, Ukrainians must have the passport, return ticket, insurance, and money. If you have an invitation, it is enough to have an e-mail with the receiving party.
