Commander of the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) battalion Mykola Kohanivsky said that the shooting he started occurred because in the area he was at, a certain group of people forces the tenants to leave their dwelling, as he told 112.
“I’m at the police department now. This afternoon I was going to a dormitory, and a certain Ruslan Kachmala got to me, started threatening and insulting me, a fight started. I had a non-lethal weapon with me. He started punching me and used gas, so I had to use the weapon. I wasn’t too badly hurt. It’s an old conflict. They are forcing the tenants of the dormitory to move. He does that blatantly, and we are defending them,” he said.
As we reported earlier, law enforcement officers detained the commander of the OUN volunteer battalion Mykola Kohanivsky this Friday, as he started shooting in Kyiv.
