OSCE in Ukraine receives three thermal cameras from Germany

Germany presented three thermal imaging cameras to the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE in Ukraine. They will be sent to the eastern Ukraine and soon the SMM teams will be able to use them.

This was reported by the OSCE mission on Facebook page.

SMM Chief Monitor Ertugrul Apakan thanked Ambassador Dr. Ernst Reichel, who handed over the donation to the SMM, for the support to the OSCE in working towards the stabilization and normalization of the situation in Ukraine.

“We are grateful to the Government of Germany for this generous donation that will complement the work of our over 600 monitors operating in Donbas,” said Ambassador Apakan. “Cameras will enhance the OSCE SMM's capabilities to monitor and verify compliance with Minsk agreements”.

Earlier it was reported that OSCE Mission reports on reduction of number of explosions in Donbas. At the same time, OSCE employees report limited access to sites on the demarcation line, where the breeding of forces and means should take place.
