"The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Angelino Alfano (Italy is chairing in the OSCE since January 1, 2018) will be on a working visit in Ukraine on January 30-31, 2018," the message says.
During the visit, Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Italy Pavlo Klimkin and Angelino Alfano will hold talks and participate in the joint Ukrainian-Italian business forum.
As it was reported earlier, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE's Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) in Ukraine, Alexander Hug, stated that the mission’s mandate term expires in March 2018.
Also, Hug added that the mission began its work even before the start of the conflict in the East of the country on March 21, 2014 upon the invitation of the Ukrainian side, and this decision was supported by 57 member countries. Since then, the change in the Mandate was only concerning the number of observers (increase), and the Minsk Agreements in no way affect the OSCE's activities.
