Within the frameworks of "Development of cyber police capabilities" project on Wednesday, representatives of OSCE Project Coordination in Ukraine provided 194 items of specialized equipment to the cyber police units of the National Police of Ukraine. This was reported by the Department of Communications of Ukraine’s Internal Ministry.
"We express our gratitude to foreign partners for their support, and today we are announcing the next stage of our cooperation, the transfer of special digital equipment for cyber police. It is very important that Ukraine confidently integrates into the world struggle against cyber-crime. Quickly and very confidently, because security depends on us all over the world and Europe, "Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said.
National Police head, Serhiy Knyazev stressed that provided technology would allow for quicker response to cyber threats and invited specialists from abroad to become trainers for future police officers.
"The police will only benefit if our cooperation continues. You may be interested in joining the work on reforming police education. Not long ago I announced the creation of the first Police Academy in Ukraine and I will be glad to invite specialists from abroad as teachers," Knyazev said.
As it was reported earlier Ukraine’s Education and Science Ministry reported cyber-attack on their website. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine addressed the Department of Cyber Police of Ukraine on the issue.
