On Wednesday, the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be opened in Minsk. PA OSCE Committee on Political Affairs and Security prepared for consideration a resolution on “Strengthening of mutual trust and cooperation for peace and prosperity in the OSCE region.”

The draft resolution of the committee Russia is recognized as an occupant, the authors call on Russia to terminate the annexation of Crimea and follow the agreement on Donbas.

The document states that the committee calls to cease the hostilities in Ukraine, to withdraw large-caliber guns by both sides and to provide full access of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission and humanitariam organizations.

“The committee strongly condemns the numerous serious incidents of pressure, harassment and intimidation of observers from the SMM, along with cases of deliberate destruction of OSCE property in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions controlled by Russian hybrid forces. Thus, OSCE calls on the Russian Federation to take practical measures to ensure adequate security conditions for the SMM in order to prevent further escalation of the situation,” the resolution said.
