In total, more than 600 police officers and more than 200 servicemen of the National Guard arrived in Uman to ensure order.
As it was reported earlier, 50 thousand foreign pilgrims will come to Uman on Rosh Hashanah holiday. This year, the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah falls on September 6-8. Its celebration in Uman is connected with the fact that the tzadik (righteous) Nachman is buried in the city. His tomb is one of the most revered shrines and a place of pilgrimage for the representatives of the Bratslav school of thought of Hasidism.
