Three years after the release of the MOZAIKA album, ONUKA releases KOLIR - the third full-length album.
The KOLIR album includes ten tracks, three of which are already well known to listeners: lyrical and intimate single СЕАНС, dedicated to fears; a bold, energetic XASHI track with a powerful social message and a modern ZENIT spring song. Most of the songs in the new album were created in 2020-2021, during the pandemic.
KOLIR opens a new stage in the discography of the group. This is the most intimate and candid album, largely inspired by the events of the personal life of the group's leader Nata Zhyzhchenko: in 2020, Nata and the band's sound producer Yevhen Filatov became parents for the first time.
According to Nata Zhyzhchenko, her favorite track on the album is TY. Nata wrote the text right after the birth of her son.
Earlier, Onuka released a joint track with DakhaBrakha band Uyavy.
Another surprise is the song SON. It was written by Nata's brother, musician Oleksandr Zhyzhchenko, 20 years ago. ONUKA has recorded it with folk instruments, which gave the lyrical track a large-scale and at the same time subtle sound.
The finale of the album is a bright spot, which will also be a surprise for the listeners. The single with an almost mystical and very personal title "23.42" is a lullaby, which in Nata's performance sounds tender, frank, almost like a confession.
