Three police officers were injured in the result of the clashes near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Andry Kryshchenko, the Head of Kyiv Police claimed this as 112 Ukraine reported.

"There are three injured police officers. One of them suffered from the pepper spray. Another one was wounded during a clash. Fortunately, he is slightly injured," he said.

According to Kryshchenko, at the moment, there are about a thousand protesters at the square. One of them was detained and now he is in the district department.

"He was detained by a prosecutor due to the infliction of the bodily harms to the police officer. The test was held. He is slightly drunk. He will have the legal aid. If he needs, he will be served medical aid," the police head added.

Kryshchenko noted that there is a quiet environment; the police holds the negotiations with the protesters.

The police and National Guard of Ukraine officers provide the order near the parliament. There are about 500 law enforcers.

It was also noted that applications on the holding of the event were filed to Kyiv City State Administration beforehand.

As we reported the clashes between the protesters who are Soviet-Afghan War veterans and police took place in the downtown of Kyiv near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

MP Dmytro Dobrodomov commented to 112 Ukraine that the main demand of the Afghani veterans to equal their benefits to the benefits of the participants of the military activities. According to him, there are also the miners among the protesters.
