One more person died in Ukraine due to measles as the press service of the Healthcare Ministry reported at Facebook.

'It is reported on one more death due to the measles: an adult perished', the message said.

The ministry reminded that the incubation period of the measles lasts from six up to 21 days. Then the symptoms appear such as fever, often greater than 40° C, cough, running nose, and inflamed eyes. Complications occur in about 30% of cases and may include diarrhea, blindness, inflammation of the brain, and pneumonia.

Earlier we reported that a 5-year-old child died due to the measles disease in Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district of Odesa region.

Within 11 months of 2017 3382 people were diagnosed with measles in Ukraine. Last year four lethal cases of measles were recorded. As of 16 January 2018, 92 cases of measles in Kyiv have been recorded. Between 10 and 14 January, more than 10,000 children were vaccinated against measles in Kyiv.

Polish media reported an outbreak of measles – for the first time in ten years in this country on January 16.
