On Tuesday: President’s Office announces new data of vaccines’ supply to Ukraine

The President’s Office stated that Ukraine would get the new batch of vaccine every 10 days

The vaccine against coronavirus should arrive in Ukraine tomorrow, February 23, in the morning. The medicine is already in the plane as Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported at Ukraine 30 forum.

“The vaccine is already on the way. Tomorrow in the morning, I hope, it will be in Ukraine. It (the batch of the vaccine, - is already in the plane; there is a route of the plane. Unfortunately, the first batch does not head to Ukraine directly. There are some logistic issues not tied with the vaccine,” Tymoshenko stated.

He also added that the Health Ministry works with the logistics specialist on the variants of the quick supply of the next batches of the vaccine.

“In fact, Ukraine will get a new batch of the vaccine every 10 days,” Tymoshenko reported.

The Health Ministry reported that the vaccination in Ukraine should start on February 15. However, on February 16, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that the vaccination did not start in a term due to logistic issues.

Stepanov assured that until the end of the week Ukraine would get AstraZeneca vaccine. On February 19, the Health Minister departed to India to hold talks with the Serum Institute.

Yesterday, the Health Minister reported that in India, first 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca-CoviShield vaccine have started their way to Ukraine.

Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the efficacy level of CoviShield, calling its one of the best vaccines.
