“Today I received a positive test result for coronavirus. It was unexpected news. Especially considering the fact that my family and I continue to follow all the rules - masks, gloves, a keep contacts at minimum...,” she wrote.
The First Lady said she was feeling good and is not isolated from her family.
“I will say now that I feel good, but I am in outpatient treatment, isolated from other family members, so as not to endanger them. Volodymyr and the children also took the test, their results are negative.”
The Office of the President added that during working meetings and at home, the First Lady constantly followed the quarantine rules and recommendations of the Ministry of Healthcare, and, in accordance with the requirements of the security protocol, was regularly tested for Covid-19. The results of a previous test conducted in early June were negative.
It is still unknown where and when the infection could have occurred, an epidemiological investigation is underway. All contacts were immediately informed of the potential risk of infection. They are advised to adhere to self-isolation and, if possible, to also take a test.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he wanted to get the coronavirus infections and show people that "it's scary."
