Ohio state recognized Holodomor 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people, as Ukraine’s Embassy in the U.S. reports on Facebook.

“Ohio state joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. John Kasich, the Governor of the state, and Mary Taylor, the Lieutenant Governor of the state, issued a relevant proclamation,” the message says.

Twelve U.S. states recognized Holodomor in Ukraine as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.

On May 28, Missouri issued a proclamation which recognized Holodomor 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
