Schools and partially in kindergartens will not work in Odesa tomorrow, on February 27, due to worsening weather conditions. This decision was made by the city commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergency situations, writes Dumskaya agency.
Weather forecasters predict a further drop in temperature to -12 on Tuesday, as well as heavy snowfall. In connection with this, it was decided to suspend classes in schools and pre-school educational institutions.
According to the mayor's office, on-duty groups will work in kindergartens, accepting children if necessary. At the same time, city authorities ask parents to leave their children at home tomorrow.
At the moment, in Odesa, according to the Hydrometeorological Center, the temperature is holding at 11 degrees below zero.
As it was reported earlier 75 schools have already been closed in Kyiv due to influenza and ARVI. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk. Not a single school was closed in Shevchenkivsky district, he added.
According to the updated data, 6 schools are completely closed in Holosiivsky district, in 10 schools - in some classes.
In total there are 429 communal schools in the capital, which is 272,200 pupils. 6,509 children were absent from schools due to flu and ARVI as of February 8.
