The Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) criticized the Ukrainian authorities of the absence of the necessary actions for the elimination of the large-scale fires in Luhansk region as Head of the People’s Militia of LPR Yan Leshchenko stated.

“Despite the security assurances provided by People’s Militia of LPR for work of the Ukrainian aviation to eliminate the fires, the Ukrainian side has not assumed the proper measures to localize the ignition with the use of the aviation,” he noted.

According Leshchenko, the aviation of the Ukrainian side was engaged in tasks that were not tied with the fire fighting. As a result, according to him, the fire almost destroyed Kryakivka, Trokhizbenka, Zolote, Severodonetsk, Artem, Shchastya, Novotoshkivske, Muratove, Bolotyane, Stary Aidar settlements and other areas in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

“Despite all loud statements and measures supposedly assumed by President of Ukraine Zelensky on liquidation of the fire beds, the civil population continues to die and their house and grounds are destroyed. The Ukrainian side has nothing to do but to fill the information space with accusations of the People’s Militia of attacks,” Leshchenko underlined.
