The so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will demand from Kyiv to agree with them the law on the special status of Donbas as Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, the leaders of the militants said.
“Zelensky also stated that some new law on the special status will be adopted. We are curious to know, which one? We do not like a lot in the current edition of this law in which Poroshenko inserted unacceptable reservations. And these reservations and insertions should be eliminated,” the message said.
However, “the essential provisions, which cannot be changed in any way” are also included in this law.
“That is why any amendments to the law on the special status should be agreed with us. Otherwise, we will treat them as a direct and gross violation of Minsk Agreements and they will be null and avoid for us,” Pushilin and Pasechnik said.
The militants noted that Ukraine, by signing Steinmeier formula on October 1, recognized “the special right of Donbas people for self-determination of their fate”.
Earlier, we reported that the far-right National Corps has begun the termless protest and urged the Ukrainians to join the campaign “against capitulation” near the Office of the President.
On October 1, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine reported on the agreement of Steinmeier formula text in response to the letter of OSCE Special Representative in Trilateral Contac Group Martin Sajdik.
