Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin wrote on Twitter that it is impossible to artificially integrate the Kremlin-occupied territory of Donbas, as a Russian colony.

“Occupied Donbas, as Russian colony, can’t be artificially integrated into a civilized and democratic Ukraine. We can discuss transition periods, various approaches and modalities, but not this fundamental principle,” Klimkin wrote.

At the same time, Pavlo Klimkin stressed that in Ukraine, Donbas will find a place as a free Ukrainian European region.

As is known, the so-called elections took place in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on Sunday, November 11. The voters elected the leaders of 'people's republics' and their representatives in the parliaments of the 'republics'.

Ukraine, the U.S. and the EU unanimously condemned the voting, considering it illegitimate. Russia still has not commented on the outcome of the election.
