230 people poison with water on occupied areas of Donetsk

More than 230 people poisoned with piped water on the occupied areas of Donetsk region over one week. Pavlo Lysyansky, Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament for Human Rights in Luhansk and Donetsk regions reported his on Facebook.

‘Number of residents poisoned with sink water has increased in Donetsk region controlled by the illegal armed formations. From October 5 – 12, more than 230 people addressed hospitals on the occupied areas of Donetsk complaining about high temperature, sickness, and upset stomach. Mostly, they are children up to 17 years. Also confirmed information about the massive poisoning of students of the military lyceum in Donetsk with tap water. They are more than 104 people. The parents of several students claimed they were recommended to be treated at home and not to go hospitals,’ the official claimed.

Also, it is reported that the residents of Dokuchaievsk city complain about the poor quality of the piped water. According to them, the water a distinct mold smell. 

The occupation authorities of so-called “DNR” conducted an analysis of the piped water in Makiivka, where massive poisoning occurred. From the published results it becomes clear that there are deviations in both chemical and microbiological parameters.
