Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said he was not satisfied with the number of people vaccinated against Covid-19, so he decided to personally intervene in the vaccination situation to "significantly increase the number of vaccinated in the coming days." Stepanov stated this during a briefing.
"I'm not content with these numbers. I set a different goal for the rate of vaccination, realizing that we are cascading this vaccination. I can say that at the end of last week we had to have 10 thousand people vaccinated per day. And continue to increase this number. So far we have a little more than 3 thousand," he said.
The minister added that in view of this, he decided to personally intervene in the situation to "significantly increase the number of vaccinated in the coming days." Therefore, he will hold a selector, which will be attended by heads of regional administrations, representatives of the President's Office, and health departments that coordinate vaccination.
Earlier it was reported that by summer, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry plans to conduct five million vaccination procedures monthly.
In addition, Ukraine has approved the coronavirus vaccination plan for 2021.
