Novotroitske entry-exit checkpoint in Donbas region is closed because of the wildfires. OSCE SMM reports on Facebook.

‘As observed by the OSCE SMM, the entry-exit checkpoint (EECP) in government-controlled Novotroitske is temporarily closed as mines in the area started detonating due to wildfires,’ reads the message.

At the same time, the Ukrainian side hasn’t commented on the closure of the EECP yet.

In the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, since the beginning of August 29, the occupants directly attacked the defensive positions of the Joint Forces Operation four times.

Since the midnight the occupants shelled the positions of the Ukrainian soldiers not far from Hnutove from the heavy machine guns. Also, the similar attack was spotted at 3:00 a.m.; it lasted an hour and a half at the direction of Talakivka. About 8:00 a.m. the occupants shelled the Ukrainian defenders near Krymske from the grenade launchers and small arms.

According to the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Center, at 09:15 a.m. the Russian-occupant troops opened the fire at the Ukrainian positions not far from Novotoshkivske with the use of the 82-mm mortars, anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers and the small arms.

From the beginning of the day, no casualties among the Ukrainian servicemen reported.
