Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the member of Parliament from the Holos party faction, believes that there are not enough votes in the Verkhovna Rada for the resignation of Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov. He said this on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.
“Are there any votes? Many people have asked me these questions today, I see that there are 160-170 votes [out of 226 votes] ... Let's see these letters. I have doubts. I know not even the groups that very often support the Servant of the People party will cast their ballots. I hope that Justice, a faction that openly works with the President’s Office, unfortunately that includes my colleagues from Holos, will call out their votes because of public pressure. Therefore, I would not promise anything, especially considering that the procedure will last 2 weeks,” Zheleznyak said.
The Servant of the People faction declared that they are sure they will be able to get support of sufficient number of parliamentarians to vote for resignation of the Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov. Votes can be given by representatives of the Dovira group, some deputies of the Holos faction, and some deputies of the For the Future party group.
As it was reported earlier, on September 30 Head of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arakhamiya asked Dmytro Razumkov's signature lists for his resignation from a position of the Verkhovna Rada chairman.
At the congress of the Servant of the People deputies, which took place on October 1-3 in Truskavets, Servant of the People members collected over 150 signatures for the resignation of Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov.
In turn, Razumkov invited Servant of the People MPs to a meeting of the faction on Monday, October 4.
The Servant of the People party also stated that there was no point in such a meeting.
