As we reported that Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State, stated that the U.S. would never recognize Crimea’s annexation and would continue insisting on the restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. The UK has officially supported this position as well as other EU countries.

Russia has already reacted to this statement stating that it doubts its life-changing nature. In particular, Maria Zakharova, the Spokesperson of Russia’s Foreign Ministry claimed the uncertainty of the American foreign policy reminding about the situation with the nuclear deal with Iran and the Paris Agreement. As she wrote, the decision Obama made was “re-decided” by Trump.
