The meeting of the advisers of the leaders of Normandy Format states (Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia) is planned for the end of summer 2019, as 112 Ukraine reported, citing Deputy Head of President’s Office Vadym Prystaiko.
“I can tell you that we have definitely agreed. We will meet to see the progress of the agreements reached in July. We plan to do it approximately at the end of the summer. And we really discuss when our leaders will be able to meet,” Prystaiko said.
On July 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin to hold talks on Donbas in Minsk with the involvement of the representatives of the U.S., France, the UK.
At the same time, the President has stressed that Ukraine does not refuse from any diplomatic formats which might settle the situation in Donbas.
On July 11, Putin stated that Moscow will be ready to discuss the extension of Normandy Format after snap parliamentary elections in Ukraine. However, the U.S. stands against the change of the format of the negotiations on Ukraine.
