The leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine will meet in Paris on December 9 to intensify the efforts on the search of the peaceful settlement of Donbas Conflict as Reuters reported citing France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
The leaders will meet for the first time in more than three years. It will take place after the breakthrough at October negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
On November 12, Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative Leonid Kuchma, reported that all obstacles for holding of Normandy Four leaders meeting were lifted at the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk.
Earlier Russia considered the possibility of participation in the Normandy Format summit after signing of Steinmeier formula by the Ukrainian side. The disengagement of forces in three areas should precede the implementation of Steinmeier formula.
The disengagement of forces took place in Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote, Luhansk regions.
On November 9, the disengagement of forces started in Petrovske, Donetsk region.
On November 10, the mass media reported that the Normandy Four meeting at the highest level may take place on November 24 or 26.
