The meeting of Normandy Format leaders will take place at the end of June or at the beginning of July. This was announced by the French president Emmanuel Macron during the joint briefing with his Ukraine’s counterpart Petro Poroshenko.
“Right now the date is being decided. It will be either the end of June or the beginning of July. In the coming hours the four of us will be deciding it between the partners. I don’t know if we can add some new thoughts and ideas to what we already know. The only thing we can do is to try to change methods a little. Perhaps to add a little of impatience, from my part, and to not get used to the futile discussions,” Macron said.
French President noted that Donbas conflict is a problem for civilians of Ukraine, Russia and Europe for three years already.
"Therefore, we should not accept that the crisis lasts, and my wish that we could during our next meeting in Normandy Format really offer a whole series of new conditions for all sides to find concrete solutions to the crisis. France together with Germany is very much involved in this process and insists on the development of these agreements and on their implementation. It should be the Minsk process, there must be an effective discussion so that all parties can exchange information on the development and we want to see concrete results that will allow us to move forward, " Macron said.
As it was reported that Emmanuel Macron intends to resume cooperation in Normandy Format. France does not recognize the annexation of Crimea, the President stressed.
