No Ukrainians among Boeing 737 passengers

The aircraft crashed and fell in the sea on its way from Jakarta to the island of Pangkal Pinang, Indonesia

According to the preliminary data, Ukrainians were not on board of Lion Air Boeing 737, which fell in the sea in Indonesia, as Ukraine’s Embassy in Indonesia reported in a commentary for 112 Ukraine.

The transport company should yet officially confirm this information about the passengers.

The department of the consular service of Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry confirmed this information on Twitter.

'There are no Ukrainians on board and among the crew,' the message says.

Reportedly, Boeing 737 MAX 8 went off the radars in Indonesia. Lion Air company's passenger jet was on its way from Jakarta to the island of Pangkal Pinang (flight JT610). 

There were 189 people on board -181 passengers, seven crew members and a small child.
