The passenger plane crash in the Iranian capital left no survivors. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that in a message on his Telegram channel

"Horrible news from the Middle East. A passenger plane of Ukraine's International Airlines crashed upon takeoff and fell not far from the Imam Khomeini airport (Tehran) this morning. According to preliminary data, all passengers and crew members deceased", Zelensky wrote.

According to him, the Embassy of Ukraine in Iran has been specifying the information about the tragedy and lists of the deceased ones.

"My sincere condolences to the families and close ones of all passengers and crew members", the president wrote.

As we reported, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines, flight PS752 with 180 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport. Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that, pointing out that the reason of the crash was a "technical malfunction". As of 7 a.m. January 8, the fate of passengers remained unknown. Local authorities feared that no one survived, because the plane was visibly on fire as it was falling, CGTN reported.
