There was no subversive group at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, but the officials of the plant were trying to illegally withdraw finances abroad that could cause economic damage and stop the operation of strategic object. This was reported by the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"Ukrainian media spread information that Russian subversive group worked at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant. In fact, there were no loud arrests of armed enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. There is information that a certain group of officials has been illegally transferring finances abroad since 2014. These people had connections with the citizens of Russia and, according to investigators, were receiving recommendations from them that could lead to significant economic losses and even stop the nuclear power plant operation," the correspondent said.
It was reported that the plant is a facility of strategic importance, and considering that the criminal proceedings were opened under three articles: creation of a criminal organization, treason and sabotage.
"The Security Service is in no hurry to provide more information, referring to the secrecy of the investigation, and they do not say the number of people in the group and their names. The data on the activities of the group is added to the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigation and police continues the investigation. Now the power plant operates in normally," said the correspondent.
