Russia has relocated to Belarus separate units of the Western Military District of the Armed Forces that participate in Zapad-2021 military exercises. However, there are no Russian offensive groups in the territory of Belarus as RBK-Ukraine reported citing Commander of the Joint Forces Operation Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev.

According to him, the most dangerous factor from the side of Russia is the maximal approximation of the areas of drills to the borders of Ukraine.

“Another dangerous factor is the imitation or demonstration of return of the Russian units to the permanent stations after the end of the drills or concealed creation of the groups in the territory of Belarus. Currently, there are no signs of the creation of the offensive groups by the enemy; the situation remains controlled and it is being controlled,” he stated.

Besides, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the Russian Federation would supply Belarus with dozens of aircraft, helicopters, and air defense systems.
