Nine people died as a result of the elevator malfunction at the Chervony Partyzan Coal Mine in Luhansk region. Another 19 were injured, three of them are in serious condition. This was reported by human rights activist Pavlo Lysyansky on his Facebook page.

He said that as a result of the tragedy, the miners mostly suffered fractures.

At the time of the accident, 25 people were in the elevator, three more were standing in the perimeter yard of the mine. They were also injured.

The work of the mine has not been resumed yet.

The media reported earlier that nine people died as a result of the elevator break at the mine.
