Ukraine set a new anti-record for the number of patients with coronavirus for the past 24 hours. A total of 98,537 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country. Ukraine has an adaptive quarantine, which provides for a possible increase in quarantine restrictions in the event of a sharp jump in morbidity. Most recently, the Cabinet of Ministers approved new criteria for dividing regions into quarantine zones.

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said earlier that the second wave of Covid-19 is expected in Ukraine sometime in October or November.

Thus, everything indicates that the coronavirus not only did not “loosen its grip,” but seems to be going on to the second whorl of the spiral. And this not only Ukraine but also other countries felt this too.

Which countries have already strengthened quarantine?

New lockdown restrictions came into force in Israel on August 11. In particular, the rules concerning the delivery of goods and food were reintroduced: the courier must leave the order at the door.

Discos, pubs, bars, celebration halls, water parks, amusement parks will also be closed. Catering establishments in shopping malls and markets have been closed.

At the same time, the new rules still contain a requirement to adhere to a “social distance” of 2 m and wear a mask in public places. In addition, it is forbidden to hold events with over 10 people indoors and 20 - outdoors.

A little over a week ago, a strict quarantine was introduced in Melbourne, Australia.

A curfew has been set, and it is forbidden to leave the apartment without good reason. From August 5, the same restrictions will apply to the entire state of Victoria, the capital of which is this city; they will act at least until September 13.

Melbourne was closed for quarantine after Victoria authorities reported 670 new coronavirus cases and seven deaths on August 2.

In French capital, from Monday, August 10, wearing masks is a mandatory requirement for people over 11 on most main streets, as well as in four departments near the capital.

According to a statement from the Paris City Hall, all indicators show an increase in virus activity in the region.

In Italy, quarantine was tightened on Monday, August 17. In particular, discos are closed and a night mask regime is introduced - a requirement to wear a protective mask from 18:00 to 6:00 throughout the country in public places and outdoors.

Norway has decided to impose 10-day quarantine for newcomers from the UK, Greece, Ireland, and Austria. The reason is the acceleration of the spread of Covid-19 in these countries.

Finland has introduced additional border control. The Czech Ministry of Health plans to extend the requirement to wear masks until March next year. The Netherlands tightened control over hotels and cafes.
