State concern Ukroboronprom has presented the new Ukrainian airplane Y1 Dolphin, developed by Odesa aviation plant, according to Ukroboronprom’s press service.

“Ease of operation and flexibility of this airplane allow for it being used at a first stage of pilot training, as a patrolling airplane for monitoring the border areas or forest fires, and as an aerobatic and light passenger airplane,” the message says.

Dolphin can reach a speed of up to 385 km/h and cover up to 1320 km without stopovers.

“The design of the airplane allows it to be used in aerobatics, due to which pilot cadets can learn the basics of contemporary maneuver air combat, and learn how to recover from a spin,” Ukroboronprom informs.
