New Donetsk Head names priorities in his work on post: security, economy's development

Newly appointed Head of Donetsk Regional Military-Civil Administration Oleksandr Kuts said that the security of the population and development of the infrastructure and economy region are the main priorities of his work at the press conference in Kramatorsk.

"Security, information security, development of the infrastructure and region's economy remain to be the main priorities for us. It is the most important," Kuts noted.

He added that the leadership of the Military-Civil Administration will closely cooperate with the Joint Force operation Headquarters.

"It is not easy in the region now; the constant military actions connected to the Russian aggression appear due to this the constant cooperation with the military command of the Joint Forces operation will allow us, I hope, to quickly demonstrate the effectiveness  of this region to the citizens of Donetsk regions and see the possibilities present here," he concluded.

As we reported on June 22, President of Ukraine presented new Head of Donetsk Military-Civil Administration. It is General of Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Kuts.

Kuts was the Head of SBU Department in Donetsk. In August 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed him to the post of the Head of Chief SBU Department in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

As it was reported earlier, Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the head of Donetsk regional civil and military administration asked President Poroshenko to accept his resignation letter. 

Zhebrivsky submitted the letter for President's consideration on June 9; Petro Poroshenko accepted the letter, which means that the Cabinet is to look into it on the next session. Pavlo Zhebrivsky has been serving as the incumbent head of Donetsk regional administration since June 2015.
