A new mutation of the coronavirus was also recorded in Ukraine, but the person infected with it went to work in the Czech Republic. The infectious disease doctor Viktor Petrov told about it on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.
“The symptomatology was not unique - the patient had a mild form, he had no problems with the lungs, etc. The patient moved, left to work in the Czech Republic, and Czech colleagues sent me his test, which showed signs of a mutation. I found out about this, that the patient, who had already recovered, was in the Czech Republic," Petrov said.
According to the doctor, the patient was treated without any additional funds. In general, the treatment was symptomatic and there was no need for any intensive method.
Initially a highly contagious mutation of the coronavirus was found in the UK. Later, the strain, referred to as VOC 202012/0, appeared in France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia. A new mutation in the SARS-CoV-2 virus, originally named 501.V2, is also circulating in South Africa.
