NATO-Ukraine Coherent Resilience command-staff exercises on counteraction hybrid threats to critical infrastructure in the Black Sea region have started in Odesa as the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) reported.
“The drills are being held by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in cooperation with the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence and with the support of the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School within the framework of the NATO-Ukraine Platform on Countering Hybrid Warfare,” the message says.
The specialists of the NSDC apparatus take part in the event.
The aim of the drills is the development of the stable system of the state bodies of Ukraine in the sphere of counteraction of the hybrid threats and crisis response. This task is reached by enhancing interstate and civilian and military cooperation, planning, and provision of readiness.
The holding of the drills is the component of the decision of the foreign ministers of the NATO countries on the support of Ukraine in counteracting the hybrid challenges in the Black Sea region. This document was approved in April 2019 in Washington.
As we reported, the Zapad-2021 military drills have started in Russia on September 9. This year, the military men from Belarus participate in them.
Besides, Poland prepares for the possible military aggression from the side of Russia.
