The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has annulled the license on the extraction of titanium and the development of mines and hydrocarbons. Besides, two licenses for extraction of oil and gas were returned to the state voluntarily. NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov stated this during the briefing on June 18.
“Four titanium, three hydrocarbons, and mine licenses were annulled for unscrupulous subsurface users as they were not used in 2018, 2019, and 2017,” he stated.
Besides, Danilov stated that the state received two licenses for the extraction of oil and gas.
“The issue is about Geoaliance Company in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. However, the founder stays on islands, we welcome such actions,” he added.
Moreover, during the meeting, the Council listened to the report of Head of State Service of Geology and Subsoil Roman Opimakh toward the fulfillment of the order of president #122 of 2021 toward the state in the sphere of subsurface management.
He underlined that until September 1, 2021, all 3,000 licenses will be put on the geo and information portal with duplication at Sota portal to “aware the society where they stay and who own them”.
As we reported, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the comprehensive audit of the water resources and the state monitoring of all rivers of the country will be held.
Besides, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed sanctions against 19 companies operating in the field of subsoil use.
