KORD special police force now has its own air force unit. This was reported on Facebook by Serhiy Knyazev, the Chief of Ukrainian National Police.

"We finally have special air force. Thanks to philanthropists and persistence of general Rudenko, we have another opportunity to save people," Knyazev noted.

He also informed that KORD fighters demonstrated their skills at a height of 80 meters in one of the high-rise buildings in Kyiv. "10 soldiers demonstrated unexpected entering to the premises for saving hostages," he said.

KORD was built modeled on American SWAT, main tasks of which being arrest of high-risk armed criminals and organized criminal groups, carrying out special operations to rescue hostages, etc. First members of the special unit graduated in March.
