“Ukraine's Police have registered 25 claims and cases concerning the violations of the electoral process on March 31. 4 cases were registered in Zakarpattia region, 3 – in Kirovohrad region, 2 – in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia and Luhansk regions, 1 – in Kyiv, Cherkasy and Odesa regions, and 7 were registered in the city of Kyiv,” reads the report.
According to the law enforcers, seven violations were connected with the unlawful agitation, two voters tried to take a photo of their ballot papers in Kirovohrad and Zaporizhia regions, one vote buying case was registered in Zakarpattia region, and the attempt of taking the ballot paper away took place in Zhytomyr region.
Over 700 administrative proceedings have been launched since the beginning of the election campaign.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has created 199 district election commissions for the upcoming presidential election on March 31.
The election campaign has officially started on December 31, 2018. There are 39 candidates in the ballots and over 35.6 million voters. Over 315,000 of the voters changed the place of the registration for voting.
