National Police Strategic Investigations Department in Rivne detained the leader and mediator of a criminal group “Fedora”, as Vyacheslav Abroskin, First Deputy Chairman of National Police, reported on Facebook.
“Today, the leader and mediator of a criminal group were detained while racketeering $100,000,” Abroskin reported on February 13.
As he put it, since 2011 the members of “Fedora” were demanding money threatening to inflict physical harm; they were inflicting bodily injuries, firing property, threatening private enterprisers for self-enrichment.
Abroskin added that an Italian citizen became one of the victims of this group. In 2008, he invested in a restaurant business in Ukraine. His car and café were set on fire, he sustained grievous bodily harms twice.
