National Corps decides to temporarily unblock Sberbank offices

People are encouraged to withdraw their deposits from the bank

National Corps will temporarily unblock Sberbank Russia offices to let people withdraw their deposits. This was reported by the press service of National Corps.

The message says that first strategic stage to block Russian capital is successfully completed: it is officially prohibited to carry out any external financial operations by Russian banks in Ukraine towards its affiliates, withdraw assets to Russian Federation particularly.

At the same time, National Corps announces the preparation for second stage of banking blockade. Its aim is to cease the activity of all Sberbank Russia offices in Ukraine.

"We are fighting against Russia, not against Ukrainian people. Although we are surprised with the behavior of those who keeps their deposits in banks of the occupant during the third year of war with Russian Federation. Thus we are unblocking the offices of Russian banks for a short period of time, bearing in mind that ordinary citizens became the depositors in those banks. However we are calling them to express national solidarity with our common fond of fight against aggressor and save their money at the same time," the announcement says.

As it was reported earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine banned subsidiaries of Russian banks from processing financial transactions in favor of controlling structures by the decision of National Security and Defense Council (NSDC)
