National Anti-Corruption Bureau open criminal case against Klitschko

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine obliged the Bureau (NABU) to open the case on October 9

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine opened a criminal case against Mayor of Kyiv City Vitaly Klitschko on the requirement of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. The NABU reported that as RBK-Ukraine informs. 

As it is reported, the Bureau included it into the Unified Register of the Pre-Trial Investigations implementing the court decision on October 2, 2019.

"As of October 31, the pre-trial investigation in the appropriate proceeding is being continued," the NABU stated.

The case is relating to the possible misappropriation of funds by Klitschko during the reconstruction of Shuliavskyi Bridge. MPs of Kiyv City Council stated about Bureau's inaction during the opening of the case against the Mayor based on the MPs application that Vitaly Klitschko among with the other officials of the Kiyv City Council used the City's funds in overestimated amounts. 

Previously, Kyiv District Administrative Court opened a proceeding on Klitschko's application to Head of the Presidential office Andriy Bohdan
