The names of the Ukrainian soldiers deceased near Pavlopil after the hostile attack were revealed as Knyga Pamiaty (Book of Memory) reported.

Four soldiers of the 36th Mechanized Brigade of the Marine Corps died in the result of the hostile attacks. Able seaman Oleksandr Sharko, seaman Vladyslav Rak, soldier Serhy Shanda and seaman Vasyl Kudrov lost their lives.

According to Bratske Regional State Administration, Vasyl Kudrov was born in Hannivka, Bratske district, Mykolaiv region. He served at A 2777 military unit.

Chernihiv Regional Military Commissariat reported that Oleksandr Sharko, born in 1988, lived in Kozeletsky district of the region. He was the assistant grenadier.

Vladyslav Rak was born in 1998 and lived in Kozelets, Chernihiv region. He was a grenadier in Donbas.

According to Novynarnia, Serhiy Shandra came from Torchyn village, Khmelnytsky district, Vinnytsia region. He was born in 1995.

On August 6, the militants shelled the Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil in Donbas. Four Ukrainian soldiers sustained wounds incompatible with life and died at the site. They conducted engineering works at the time. 

President Volodymyr Zelensky held the meeting due to the attack. Later the Ukrainian leader had a phone conversation with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Later, Zelensky reported that he would hold a phone talk with German Chancellor Angela Merkel soon to agree on the urgent meeting in Normandy Format meeting.
