Names of four Ukrainians released from captivity in self-proclaimed "LDNR" revealed

The militants of the so-called “LDNR” will pass four prisoners to Ukraine. Such agreement was reached at the meeting in Minsk during talks of the Head of the Political Council of Opposition Platform – For Life Viktor Medvedchuk with the leaders of self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR” Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik.

Ukrainian serviceman Dmytro Velyky will be passed to Kyiv. He was taken prisoner on September 11, 2016. He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment allegedly for terrorism.

Yakiv Veremeychyk will also come back in Ukraine. He was captivated on May 25, 2018. Militants opened several criminal cases on him.

The third serviceman who will be released is Maksym Goryainov, major of the 53rd Detached Mechanized Brigade. He was taken prisoner on May 25, 2019. Court session on his case was held, as a result he was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

Eduard Mikheyev is also released. He was captivated on October 16, 2017. He was convicted for alleged state treason and sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment.

They will be passed to Ukraine on June 28.  

The third military man to be relased is Maksym Goryainov, senior soldier, 53rd separate mechanized brigade, born in 07/28/1984. He was taken captive on May 25, 2019 and sentenced to 19 years in prison.

Eduard Mikheyev, a civilian, was also released. He was taken captive on October 16, 2017, purportedly accused of state treason and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

All of them shall be conveyed to the Ukrainian side tomorrow, on June 28.

As it was reported earlier, the previous large POWs exchange between Ukraine and militants took place on December 27, 2017.
