The State Fiscal Service holds searches of the Naftogaz-Ukraine in case of tax evasion by officials of the company in the sum of 2.7 billion hryvnias ($99,849,159) as the Fiscal Service reported on Facebook.
According to the Fiscal Service, since October 2015 and up to the present day, the officials of Naftogaz did not end the procedure of customs clearing of gas purchased from Gazprom.
“The enterprises-producers of heating energy, in fact, consume gas from the gas transporting system of Ukraine; however, Naftogaz-Ukraine does not process the document on the gas supplies and does not sign relevant acts of receiving and transferring claiming that gas, in fact, is not supplied; instead, the service of gas balancing in the gas transporting system is provided and as a result, the operations on the gas supply are not processed,” the message said.
Meanwhile, the Fiscal Service stated that it has evidence that states the tax evasion. The service has evidence that the officials of Naftogaz did not submit the full package of documents to the customs office for customs clearing of the natural gas.
“During the pretrial investigation, the legal assessment will be provided for the actions of Naftogaz officials and the Energy Customs of Ukraine. The final sum of the damage inflicted to the state will be established during the forensic economical examination. The investigation continues,” the State Fiscal Service added.
Meanwhile, director of integrated communications of Naftogaz Maksym Bilyavsky stated that the company cooperates with the investigative bodies.
