Andriy Kobolev, chairman of the executive board of Naftogaz-Ukraine, is delighted by Ukrainians’ solidarity showed in a critical situation.

“Ukrainians, you are incredible! Thank you for your help and support,” he wrote.

He also showed the document, which says that thanks to Ukrainians, who started saving gas, the amount of its consumption reduced by 14%.

According to the data, the leader in “Turn it down!” flash mob is Kremenchuk. City residents reduced gas consumption by 35%, Dnipro got the second place (32%), Kyiv is on the third – 24%.

As we reported earlier, after the ruling of the Stockholm Arbitration, Russia's Gazprom announced its intention to terminate gas contracts with Naftogaz Ukraine.

Later, on March 2 Naftogaz-Ukraine called on Ukrainians to lower the temperature in offices and households by 1-2 degrees in order to reduce the overall gas consumption.

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Mining made a shift for generating companies from gas to fuel oil, suspended service of elementary educational establishments, schools and universities, advised enterprises to revise their business plans so that to achieve greater gas saving.
