Naftogaz signs memorandum on cooperation on sharing of gas transmission network with two international companies

Naftogaz national joint-stock company and Ukrtransgaz public joint-stock company signed memorandum on understanding regarding evaluation of potential cooperation in using and developing Ukrainian gas transmission network with Italian Snam S. p.A. and Slovakian Eustream a.s.

This was reported by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on his Facebook page.

According to Prime Minister, mentioned companies are one of the biggest and experienced gas transmission network operators in the European Union.

"This is a good signal of trust towards Ukraine and confidence in the importance of our gas transmission network for Europe. We are sure that we will preserve our positions on the gas transport market, while cooperation, which is developing today, will allow to benefit from the international experience and knowledge for transformation of Ukrainian operator under European standards," Groysman said.

Head of Government noted that other European operators expressed interest in cooperation.
