According to the message, in October, 2018, Naftogaz enrolled $3,8 million, and now, the sum is more than $22 million given August and October.
Earlier, Naftogaz-Ukraine enrolled $18,3 million overpayments for transit service under the contract with Gazprom for the repayment of the penny.
On January 22, 2016, Ukraine’s Anti-Monopoly Committee fined Russian energy company Gazprom for $3,4 billion. The reason is Russian company’s abuse of its position at the gas transit market, where Russia uses gas pipelines running through the Ukraine territory.
The notification on the payment of the fine was sent to Gazprom on March 4, 2016? and it had to be paid until May 4, 2016.
On April 12, 2016, Gazprom filed an appeal to Kyiv Economic Court with a request to find the decision of the Anti-Monopoly Committee as non-valid, however, the courts of higher instances confirmed the legality of such decision.
Anti-Monopoly Committee filed a lawsuit on the recovery of the fine and penalty to the Kyiv Economic Court on October 5, 2016. The decision on the payment of the fine and penalty took its force on February 22, 2017.
