Arrangements on the conclusion of additional agreement to the contract could not be reached between "Naftogaz Ukraine" and "Gazprom" on the tripartite talks with the participation of the European Commission. This was stated by the head of the National joint-stock company Andriy Kobolyev.

"Today, unfortunately, the agreement could not be reached. We hope that this can be done in future, but today we were not able to sign an additional agreement. Without it, the purchase of Russian gas under the contract between “Naftogaz" and “Gazprom” is not possible,” he said.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said that Ukraine was ready to buy 1.5 to 4 billion cubic meters of gas from the Russian Federation this winter. He noted that the negotiations would continue.
