The lack of NABU’s legal right to an independent collection of information from communication channels affected the results of several investigations, as it caused information leakage. This was stated by the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk in an interview with "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia".

"I do not want it to be regarded as a charge against the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) leadership. But we were "investigating" an employee of the SBU for quite a long time, but when the situation has gone to a higher level, information leaked and the development of the case has been ruined," Sytnyk said.

He recalled: "If you recall the case of Chaus judge, there was also a "leak". The amount of bribe went up - at first he demanded 100 thousand, then - 150 thousand, because Chaus already knew he was being traced.
