National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) launched a probe on alleged state treason and other crimes committed by the Head of State Bureau of Investigation Roman Truba. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) is dealing with the investigation, as Ukrainian News reported.
NABU investigation included the information about alleged crimes provided by the articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code in the Unified Registry of Pre-trial Investigation.
The investigation began on March 29, as Kyiv Solomensky District Court ruled.
April 1, NABU sent the criminal proceedings to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) as these crimes are beyond the competence of NABU. SAP reported that SBU will deal with the pre-trial investigation.
As it was reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree which appointed Roman Truba as a Director of State Bureau of Investigation on April 22.
